Hi Guys, I have opportunity to fly with Vietnam Airlines in the beginning of August (4th) since my boyfriend and I had been traveling to Australia. With such a great price provided by Vietnam Airlines. We didn’t hesitate to book the flight and get ready to fly with them. So, I would like to share my experience flying with them as I think this may be helpful for you reader! to consider this airline as your airline options.

สวัสดีค่ะ คราวนี้มีโอกาสได้ขึ้นเครื่องของสายการบิน Vietnam Airlines เลยอยากมาแบ่งปันให้ได้อ่านค่ะว่าเครื่องเป็นอย่างไรบ้างเผื่อจะเป็นตัวเลือกที่ดีในการเดินทางของใครหลายๆคนนะคะ

Vietnam Airlines is a national airlines for Vietnam, also awarded as 4 stars airlines by Skytrax. Moreover, they are a part of Sky Team member. So, I collect miles from them since I have Aeroflot Sky team member card.
** There is a limited check-in for this airline and only some flying can be checked-in such as Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh City. I could not do check-in online in Australia.

สายการบินนี้เป็นสายการบินประจำชาติของเวียดนามและเราก็เพิ่งได้รู้ตอนขึ้นเครื่องด้วยว่า เป็นสายการบิน4 ดาวโดย Skytrax ด้วยนะ เวียดนามแอร์ไลน์เป็นเครือเดียวกับ Skyteam ค่ะ เลยได้สะสมไมล์ไปด้วยเพราะมีบัตร Skyteam Aeroflot ใช้ด้วยกันได้ Application ในมือถือมีนะคะ แต่การเชคอินจะลิมิตคน รู้สึกว่าสามารถ Check-in online ได้แค่ 70 ที่ นอกนั้นต้องไปเคอินที่สนามบินนะคะ เมืองไทยและเวียดนามสามารถทำ check-in online ได้แต่ที่ออสเตรเลียยังไม่มีให้บริการในส่วนนี้นะ

This time, My destination is Melbourne, Australia. I flew from Bangkok – Ho Chi Minh City and Melbourne. I decided to fly with them since their promotion to Melbourne was so good. I could save  quite a good amount of money for traveling instead. Plus, I have searched about their reputation and it wasn’t bad at all!  Why on earth I would waste my money to other airlines that cost me like 30% more? So get ready and fly with me!

เหตุผลที่เลือกบินสายการบินนี้เพราะราคาโปรโมชั่นถูกแสนถูกค่ะ เราและแฟนได้วางแผนกันไปเที่ยวออสเตรเลียช่วงเดือนสิงหาคม โดยไม่ได้กำหนดวันบินจนมาเจอเจ้าสายการบินนี้ใน Skyscanner ได้ราคาอยู่ที่ 13,750 บาท กรุงเทพ-โฮจิมินท์-เมลเบิร์น ก็ลองค้นๆดูรายละเอียดเกี่ยวกับสายการบินนี้ ก็ดูโอเคเลยค่ะ Feedback ไม่ได้แย่จนเกินไป สุดท้ายไม่นานเราก็กดจอง เตรียมตัวไปเที่ยวกันเลยค่ะ

Flight: BANGKOK – HO CHI MINH CITY VN600

เรากำลังจะออกจากสนามบินสุวรรณภูมิกันแล้วว

Our Airbus A321 flight was nice in overall. It took only about an hour and a half to get to Ho Chi Minh from Thailand. It was a morning flight. Everything was smooth and chill. We chose to transit for about 8 hours in Ho Chi Minh City for traveling around. Why would we miss the opportunity to explore along the way wouldn’t we? The plane was not that big since it didn’t take long time to land in Vietnam. There’s no screen on the seat. The seat looks real nice with a big room leg which I do like it since most of the Asian airlines seem to have a small room leg. I also like the colour of the aircraft. It looks warm and calm in my feelings. The outfit of the air hostess and stewart is their national costume itself with green and yellow tone. The safety movie comes with 3D version.

ไฟลท์แรกของเราคือ กรุงเทพ-โฮจิมินห์เองค่ะ ใช้เวลาประมาณหนึ่งชั่วโมงครึ่ง แต่เราเลือกทรานซิทนานเพื่อจะได้ไปเที่ยวในตัวเมืองด้วย สามารถออกไปเที่ยวได้เลยนะคะ เรื่องการเที่ยวเดี๋ยวจะเขียนในกระทู้ถัดไปนะ 🙂

ไฟลท์ของเราเป็นไฟลท์เช้าช่วงสาย เครื่องบินเป็น Airbus A321 เครื่องไม่ได้ใหญ่มากน่า อาจจะเพราะใช้เวลาแค่นิดหน่อย บนเครื่องไม่มีจอให้ค่ะ แต่ก็แปปเดียวเองเนอะ แป๊ปๆก็ถึงละ เครื่องขึ้นตรงเวลาเลยค่ะ ที่นั่งสบายอยู่นะ มีที่วางขากว้างทีเดียว ชอบสีของที่นั่ง จขกทว่าสีสวยดี ชึดแอร์ก็สวยเป็นชุดประจำชาติโทนสีเขียวเหลือง แต่ไม่ได้ถ่ายมา สวยดีค่ะ Safety Instruction ของที่นี่เป็น 3D ด้วยนะ

อาหารเช้าประจำวันนี้ของเรา

Food came after we were in the air, beverages were served following with today’s food, which I would prefer to call it “today’s snack”. I’m not that impressed on today’s snack. I think it’s too cold and dull. The best thing in the meal is a bread for me. Even my boyfriend asked more for it. This is not a mock but it’s real good. Ham was okay but we were not so full from this meal. We didn’t mind about it much anyway. I observed that this airline would serve tea and coffee after passengers having a meal for awhile. It seems to be a nice idea to end the meal and to get your mouth clean. I like their green tea very much though! Not too long, it was time to land in Tan Son Nhat Internationa Airport.

ไม่นานหลังเครื่องขึ้น เริ่มเสิร์ฟน้ำแล้วค่ะ มีน้ำตาม standard ทั่วไป จากนั้นก็เป็นตาของอาหารเช้าในวันนี้กัน อาหารมื้อนี้ไม่ค่อยประทับใจเท่าไหร่นะ 555 มันค่อนข้างเย็นชืดค่ะ ในจานนี้ที่ดีที่สุดน่าจะเป็นขนมปังอ่ะ อร่อยจริงๆ แฮมก็ใช้ได้ค่ะแต่ไม่ได้ทำให้อิ่มเท่าไหร่เลยแฮะ แต่ก็พอประทังหิวได้นะ หลังจากทานอาหารได้ไม่นาน จะมีชาเสิร์ฟค่ะ คงเป็นธรรมเนียมของที่นี่ที่ให้เสิร์ฟชากาแฟที่หลัง ซึ่งจะเสิร์ฟเป็นชาเขียวนะ ไม่ใช่ชาดำ ไม่นานเครื่องก็ลงแล้วค่ะ บินดีใช้ได้เลย ลงค่อนข้างนิ่มเลยค่ะ ฝนดูเหมือนใกล้จะตกเลย หวังว่าวันนี้จะพอเที่ยวได้เนอะ เราไปลงกันที่สนามบิน Tan Son Nhat Internationa Airport กัน

There was a entertainment screen for this flight.

This flight was lovely. The entertainment in flight was alright. Movies were updated although there were  few to choose. A blanket and pillow were prepared on seats. I like really the tone colour of this flight. It makes me look warm and calm. They served us refreshing towel before taking off as usual. We left Ho Chi Minh with the view of its nightlife.

คราวนี้ที่นั่งมาพร้อมจอ เครื่องใหญ่ใช้ได้เลยค่ะ หนังก็โอเคนะ อาจจะมีให้เลือกไม่เยอะมากแต่ก็อัพเดทอยู่ค่ะ มีหมอนและผ้าห่มวางให้พร้อม ชอบโทนสีสายการบินนี้จังเลย ดูแล้วสบายตามากเลยอ่ะ ก่อนอื่นก็แจกผ้าเปียกตามปกติ ซักพักเครื่องก็ขึ้นอีกแล้วค่ะ โฮจิมินห์ตอนกลางคืนดูมีสีสันจริงๆ

Dinners came with two choices: European style and Asian style. I chose European for this meal which included with pork ribs provencal fettuchini, vegetable with snow fish, chocolate nut brownie and bread. The dessert was real good!

เครื่องขึ้นประมาณหนึ่งชั่วโมง ก็เริ่มดูเมนูอาหารกันว่ามีอะไรจะเสิร์ฟบ้าง ซึ่งจะแบ่งเป็นสไตล์เอเชียนกับยุโรปวันนี้มีข้าวผัดสับปะรดเนื้อกับซี่โครงหมูเฟตตูชินีให้เลือกกันค่ะ เมนูน่ากินใช้ได้เลยนะเนี่ย

We had a long sleep during the flight since we prepared all the helpers that could get us to sleep. We woke up again in the morning for the breakfast time with Australia view. The breakfast came with two choices again: Fried rice or mushroom quiche.

เรานอนยาวกันเลยค่ะถึงเช้า กะนอนเยอะๆจะได้เที่ยวเต็มที่ จากนั้นอาหารเช้าก็มาเสิร์ฟเมื่อเข้าเขตออสเตรเลียแล้วค่ะ เช้านี้มีตัวเลือกให้เลือกสองอย่าง ข้าวผัดกับคิชเห็ดค่ะ

Fresh fruit, plain yogurt,fried Rice with seafood,pineapple and bread.

Back to Melbourne International Airport once again! The flight was delayed for an hour when we were on a plane due to technical problem but we reached Ho Chi Minh at almost the prior estimated time. Entertainment screen was provided on the flight,including blanket and pillows.

กลับมากันอีกแล้ว ที่สนามบิน Melbourne International Airport  รอบนี้เครื่องค่อนข้างดีเลย์หลังจากขึ้นเครื่องไปแล้วเลทไปเกือบชั่วโมง แต่พอเข้าใจได้ค่ะ เนื่องจากมีเรื่องขัดข้องทางเทคนิค แต่ถึงค่อนข้างใกล้กับเวลาที่กำหนดให้ในตอนแรกนะ ที่นั่งมีจอเหมือนเดิมเพราะบินทางไกล รวมถึงผ้าห่มและหมอนด้วยค่ะ

For lunch, there were two choices: Streamed rice with braised beef, or Pan-fried fish in hot chilli bean sauce. Since we got a seat at the very back of the plane. The beef was out of serve. So, we both got fish as our meal.

กลับมาที่ตัวอาหารวันนี้ อาหารกลางวันมีให้เลือกสองอย่างเป็นเหมือนสตูว์เนื้อกับข้าวและปลาผัดกระทะทอดพริกกับข้าว ตอนแรกจะเลือกเนื้อซะหน่อย แต่หมดซะก่อน แอร์มาบอกว่าคราวหน้าจะเริ่มให้เราได้เลือกอาหารก่อรค่ะเนื่องจากเรานั่งอยู่ท้ายเครื่อง

Vegetable salad with ham, Pan-fried fish in hot chilli bean sauce, tiramisu cake and bread.

Then, we had a long rest. All the windows were shut for passengers to rest. For about four to five hours past. The new meal had been served with two choices: Chicken crust with streamed rice and Pasta ravioli beef. This time, we got to choose the meal first to benefit passengers equally.

จากนั้นก็พักยาวค่ะ ทุกคนปิดหน้าต่าง นั่งตามอัธยาศัย ซักบ่ายสามอาหารชุดใหม่ก็มาค่ะ มื้อหนักใช้ได้เลยนะเนี่ย ช้อยส์แรกเป็นพาสต้าเนื้อค่ะส่วนช้อยส์ที่สองเป็นข้าวกับไก่กรอบชีส ได้มาดังนี้ค่ะ

It wasn’t good enough to say it was delicious but quite okay. There was no appetiser since it was only refreshment meal. But I think it’s heavy enough to make both of us full. Coffee and tea was served after meal as as usual. We were about to land after half an hour of the meal. We stayed one night in Ho Chi Minh to experience the nightlife there and go back to Thailand next morning.

อาหารรสชาติไม่ถึงกับอร่อยแต่ก็ใช้ได้นะ สำหรับมื้อนี้ไม่มีเครื่องเคียงเพราะเป็นแค่ Refreshment Meal ค่ะ แต่ก็ถือว่าจัดหนักใช้ได้นะ ชากับกาแฟมาหลังเหมือนเดิมนะ ชอบชาที่นี่เหมือนกันนะ อร่อยดีค่ะ อีกไม่นานมากก็ถึงเวลาเครื่องลงแล้วค่ะ คราวนี้เราตัดสินใจอยู่ที่โฮจิมินส์หนึ่งคืนค่ะ เพราะไฟลท์เป็นไฟลท์พรุ่งนี้เช้า กะจะเก็บที่เที่ยวในโฮจิมินห์ซะหน่อย

Last Flight: HO CHI MINH CITY – BANGKOK VN 605

Our luggage had been straightly transferred to Bangkok. So, there’s nothing to worry about. The plane was the same as when we came in the first day. There’s no entertainment screen in the flight. We took the bus from the airport to the plane since the airport is quite small. There was a refreshment meal like the one we had at our first meal but pasta salad were added on the dish.

บินแต่เช้าอีกแล้วค่ะกับเวียดนามแอร์ไลน์ โรงแรมอยู่ใกล้สนามบินเลยชิวๆหน่อยวันนี้ กระเป๋าก็ส่งไปที่กรุงเทพฯแล้ว ตัวเบาเลย ไฟลท์นี้เราจะถึงกรุงเทพกันตอนบ่ายโมงสิบค่ะ  สนามบินของที่นี่ไม่ใหญ่มาก ส่วนใหญ่จะต้องนั่งบัสไปที่ตัวเครื่องค่ะ ใช้เวลาประมาณชั่วโมงครึ่งเหมือนเดิม ก็ไม่มีอะไรมากแล้วเนอะ ไฟลท์นี้ส่วนมากบอกไปหมดแล้ว อาหารมื้อสุดท้ายของเรากับเวียดนามแอร์ไลน์เป็นอาหารว่าง คล้ายๆตอนที่ขาออกจากกรุงเทพฯ มีเพิ่มมานิดนึงเป็นเหมือนสลัดพาสต้าข้างๆ ไม่นานก็ถึงบ้านโดยสวัสดิภาพค่ะ

Conclusion

It is quite a good airline that should be considered as its full service and promotion are undeniably resistant. I’m impressed with their flight with their comfortable leg room and seat. It is an affordable price with a worthy service. Good flight, good food, great seat. However, the service here seems to be struggling. They can do better and I’m sure their airline can be upgraded if they improve their service. My best meal so far was the flight from Ho Chi Minh to Melbourne. I think it’s very important to keep their good standard like this and the airline will go further than they are at the moment.Let’s say, Vietnam airlines is a great option and interesting airline if you’re looking for an airline to fly with.

เป็นสายการบินที่มองว่ามาแรงอยู่เพราะโปรดีจริงๆ ถูกและ Full Service ด้วย เหมาะกับเป็นแอร์ไลน์ที่ได้สี่ดาวค่ะ ประทับใจตัวเครื่อง ที่นั่งค่อนข้างสบายมากเลยค่ะ หลับสบายเลยนะ รู้สึกว่าราคาคุ้มค่าตั๋วค่ะ บินดี สบายค่ะ การบริการาสำหรับเรายังต้องปรับปรุงนะเพราะว่าแอร์และสจ๊วดยังดูทำได้ดีกว่านี้ บริการได้ดีกว่านี้อีก ถ้าบริการดี สายการบินนี้น่าจะยกระดับตัวเองได้ดีกว่านี้อีกค่ะ อาหารถือว่าพอใช้นะ มื้อที่ดีที่สุดคือมือจากโฮจิมินห์ไปเมลเบิร์น นอกนั้นเฉยๆค่ะ แต่อาหารก็ได้มาตรฐานแล้วนะ ยังไงก็ลองดูนะคะ แต่ถือว่าเป็นสายการบินที่น่าสนใจสายการบินนึงเลยค่ะ
